Why is corruption on the rise?
Aam aadmi chants:
“Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu…”
(May happiness be unto the world)
But some netas and babus sing in chorus:
“Loksabha Samatha Sukino Bhavanthu…”
(Let all in the LOKSABHA live in prosperity)
I asked someone at Swiss Bank:
We are such a good people that
We always chant: Loka samastha sukhino bhavanthu…
(May happiness be unto the world)
He told me with pride:
“Some of your leaders are also so good
That they siphon out the money for everyone in the world”
One day number 1 asked the zeroes:
“Could you back me as alliance?”
The zeroes joined and stood in the LEFT
Years later the number 1 groused:
“Since you are always on the left side
You remain as zeroes and I remain as 1
(0000000000001)
You just shift to the right and see the magic”
The moment Zeroes defected to the right,
Number 1 became billions
And zeroes became its partners
(10000000000000)
An exact depiction of our democracy and the leaders! But how can we escape from this mire?

A fine mathematically twisted satire.
